In May 2026 Basketball Australia reported back on its Community Coaches mentoring program and announced a second intake.
The newsletter said a new wave of intake had opened for coaches across Australia to take part in the program during 2026. Mentors and mentees were both encouraged to get involved. The program is a structured way to support coaches' development, and expressions of interest were open at the time. The newsletter gave no closing date, so check with Basketball Australia before relying on it.
The program is supported by the Australian Sports Commission and its Play Well strategy.
