Two grand finals, two wins. El!te Development took two U19 Girls teams to the South West Classic at Bankstown Basketball Stadium in Sydney over the weekend of 10 to 12 April: one team entered in the Under 19 Girls Division 1 competition and one in Division 2. Both came home champions.
More than basketball
It was a lovely weekend away. The families went out to dinner together on Friday night, the Elite 19.1 girls turned out to cheer on Elite 19.2, and the girls looked after each other from the first game to the last. A 3-point shootout was also held on the Sunday, and several of our girls entered, with one of them taking out first prize.
Thank you to our coaches and managers for the weekend, and to every parent and carer who travelled, drove, strapped ankles and cheered. Go Elite!
